I love Cary Grant movies. The stories are entertaining and I love the style of that era. Oh how I wish things were as spectacular in style as they were back then.
Some days I just dream of bring dressed to the nines in a fancy outfit complete with a hat, gloves and wondrous hair. To my left would bet dashing and debonair husband decked out in his suit complete with a coordinating hat.
It just seems that nowadays things are TOO relaxed. There was a time when folks dressed up to go on a plane and now we lounge in our yoga pants and flip flops. I too love to be a schlump, but I love to get gussied up too.
Perhaps an idea for a grown up party one day!

I heard about this on the radio and the story immediately brought tears to my eyes. How amazing for this man to bring the dreams of this little boy to life with these images. This boy will never get to play basketball or run or do things kids his age take for granted. But thanks to this photographer, Luka will have these photos.
I’ve got a new obsession. I need to find a camping trailer. I think I need to find a place to house it first. Look at these cute things!

So the husband is taking a fiction writing class. Yep, he signed up after going to a poetry / story reading with me and a friend. He’s written 2 pieces so far and they’ve both been really good. Now, I’m not saying that because I’m his wife, they were both really good.
I read one today that he wrote for his class this week and I was blown away. I didn’t want the story to end. I wanted to find out more about the character and his relationship with his love. The husband told me the story was based loosely on a dream he had circa 1998 Spring Break (interesting). I then told him that was how the Twilight series was born (from something the author dreamed, not the Spring Break thing).
Anyhow, I really hope he signs up for the readings they do, kind of like a showcase of talent. I’m so proud of him.
I think it’s pretty awesome that my kids ask for Greek yogurt for a snack or breakfast. It’s also pretty hilarious that they call it icecream because it’s so thick. I hope that when they’re at school they don’t tell their teachers their Mom let them have icecream for breakfast, that could be awkward.
Funnies of the day, so far:
Sister says to brother ‘can I smell your breath? Can I smell it again? It smells like pickles.’ Said during playtime.
Dad says to son ‘why is the couch wet?’ Son says to Dad ‘I did not pee on couch.’ Dad says to son ‘oh, it’s just water from your water bottle.’
Mom hears singing and can’t figure out where it’s coming from. Daughter stops singing and screams from the bathroom ‘mom, I need toilet paper.’
Just a few funnies from our first day of Spring Break.
Such a great weekend with family! Lots of good food, plenty of laughs and loads of giggles with cousins.
Not so good thing-we have consumed more than our share of kielbasa (authentic Polish basa), hard boiled eggs and cabbage to put a methane company out of business. TMI?
Now for Spring Break and my list of to-do’s with the kids and we’re ready to roll.
We’re truly blessed, Happy Easter y’all!
Too much fun today! Tie is off, top button undo and a much needed nap after church, egg hunt, playtime with cousins and too much candy!
